Chris’ Whale Watching offers full service guided family friendly whale watching tours year round in the third largest deep submarine canyon in the world. The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary is home to 27 species of marine mammals, 100+ species of marine birds, 345 species of fish and the leatherback turtle.
On this amazing whale watching tour you’ll get a once in a lifetime educational experience. Chris’ Whale Watching prides themselves on having the most experienced skippers in Northern California with the skills, knowledge and experience to navigate the huge Marine Sanctuary. During the summer months you’ll see humpback and Blue whales, dolphins, and porpoises, and in the winter months Gray whales.

Hours: 2-Hour Winter Whale Watch (December–April):
Daily, 10:00 am,12:00 pm, 2:00 pm
3-Hour Summer Whale Watch (May–November): Daily, 10:00 am, 1:00 pm
Closed: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, News Year’s Day and Easter.

Reservations recommended for Chris’ Whale Watching. You may make your reservation by phone but you must validate your Go San Francisco Card on the day of your departure only. Chris’ Whale Watching is located in Monterey, CA (approx. 2 - 2.5 hours south of San Francisco). Most direct route: From San Francisco/San Jose, CA: Take US-101 towards Los Angeles. Exit CA-156 West towards Monterey Peninsula Continue on CA 1 South towards Monterey Exit on Del Monte Avenue Turn right into Fisherman’s Wharf.
Unless otherwise noted, the Go San Francisco Card is valid for admissions from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
